VO5 HOT OIL THERAPY

On one of my many trips to the drugstore I walked by this VO5 HOT OIL THERAPY. I am in the process of growing my hair and keeping healthy is key. So I figured why not give this a try, plus I remember being a kid and my mom and grandmother using the VO5 products on us. Each box comes with 2 tubes and the price is around $4.99, when I purchased them they were buy on get one half off plus I had a coupon for $3.00 off when you bought 2, so that was another reason why I got them. LOL.

((I will put the link at the bottom for CVS.))
Here is the claims this product makes: Leaves hair looking strong, healthy and vitally alive. Restores moisture to stressed, dry, or damaged hair. Seeks out and re-constructs hair by bonding to weak sites of every strand. Dramatic results in just one minute. Exclusive formula with Hair Strengthening Complex doubles the strength of hair protecting it from breakage.

Directions: 1. Place unopened tube into a cup of warm water for one minute to heat. 2. USE BEFORE SHAMPOOING. Massage contents of tube into wet hair. Leave on up to one minute. 3. RINSE HAIR, scalp and skin thoroughly. Shampoo as usual. VO5 HOT OIL works best when rinsed within one minute of application. 4. STYLE. Use weekly or more often as needed.

I did not like this product at all, well other then the smell, because it has a really nice smell. The oil was very running and I felt like I did not have control of how much oil I could dispense, and where I was dispensing it. My hair did not feel anymore moisturized then it did before I applied the oil. The "dramatic results in just one minute" is not real, all I felt my hair do is getting very nappy and no matter how much conditioner I added to my hair I would not get out the knots. Every tube is 1oz. and keep in mind I have shoulder length hair and not very thick hair, so this one single tube was not enough for my hair. I think this is why my hair got so many knots because I had to really work this product into my hair. Over all I just simply did not like it, I used this product about 3 different just to make sure my thoughts were the same every time I used it. Every single time my hair was just so nappy. I hate to not like products but not everything works for us, and this way you know my thoughts on products are 100% real.

Love you guys and hope you are having a great day.

Shop My Stash Sunday

Hello Darlings, in this episode of SMSS (lol) I am using a lot of my newer products, since I am testing them out for future reviews. So lets go ahead and jump right in with all of my face products....(took pictures early afternoon but it has been cloudy the past few days)

Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Pro Primer
Maybelline Fit Me foundation is 130 Buff Beige
Maybelline Dream Pure BB in Deep Sheer Tint
(this I only use when I have self tanned to make my foundation a few shades darker)
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Erase Dark Circles in Brightener
Maybelline Fit Me Powder in 220 Natural Beige
WoW that is a lot Maybelline now that I am typing this, but what can I say I like there products, and NOO this is not sponsored by them.
As for blushes I always like to pull 2 blushes, different colors and different finishes. For this week I have Wet & Wild ColorIcon in 831E Pearlescent Pink, and Milani Powder Blush in 01 Romantic Rose. I did not pull a bronzer this week because the BB cream gives me a nice bronzy look.

Now for my eyes I am really excited because I just got my first order for BH cosmetics and I am going to be playing with the Wild at Heart this week.
Wet & Wild Ultimate Brow kit in 963 Ash Brown
L'Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper Gel Mascara in Medium to Dark
Urban Decay Primer Potion (want to finish up these small samples)
BH Cosmetics Wild At Heart pallet
Sally Girl Bronzing Powder in Toasted (I love this for my crease)
Rimmel London Soft Kohl in 011 Sable Brown
Rimmel London ScandalEyes in 005 Nude
Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in 301 Black

Got this picture online as a reference to the colors just in case you have not seen this eye shadow pallet.

I did not pull any lip products because I was unsure of what to, but I do have a few in mind. As the week goes on and I create different looks I will choose what lipstick or lip gloss to wear. Don't forget to check out my InstaGram @acurvygirlslife because I will post Face of The Day looks with these products and the I will list lip products for that day. Enjoy!!

L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper VS. Maybelline Brow Drama

Recently I decided to try the L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper , I have to start off by saying I have very sparse and thin brows, I need all the help I can get achive nice brows. Up until recently my eyebrows have NEVER look at all good, I started using a mexican oil on my brows, but thats another blog for another day. So in my quest for good looking brows I also picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama. I have tried both products and I am going to do a side by side comparison of them.

Lets get started on the L'oreal first, this product claims to be a brow plumping gel, which to me means its going to plump up my eyebrows and make them look better then what I'm actually working with. Well it did not, the color pay off was not there at all. I had to apply 3 coats of this to my eyebrows for them to even start looking defined, the bad thing in that was that it starting clupping and making my eyebrows super stiff. The wand on the other hand was really nice to work with, to me it was the right size for my eyebrows or anyone elses. As a stand alone product it just didn't cut it for me. The following day a tried it as a eyebrow gel to set my pencil color and I did like how that worked, but I still had to be careful how much product I applied if not my eyebrows were going to lay flat and stiff.
(I picked mine up in the color medium to dark brown)
(After 3 applications)

Now we have the Maybelline Brow Drama, where to start with this one. OK first of all the brush tip is a ball shape and it's to darn huge. All my girls out there with thin brows how are we going to use this. The color payoff was worse then the L'oreal Brow Plumper, I also did 3 applications of this. The consistency of this product felt watery to me and it wasn't gripping on to my eyebrows as well as the L'oreal one did. Also this one flaked on me, it got all over my brow bone. I tried it as an eyebrow gel also and didn't like it any better it looked like I did not add anything to my brows.
(After 3 applications)
(Left is the maybelline/Right is the L'oreal)
(Sorry hair not done yet, it was in the product testing stage...LOL)

All in all both products a fails in there on way, one more than the other. Best believe these are going in a return pile, or give them to a friend with good eyebrows and see if it works better for them. If I to choose one of these products, because I'm in a makeup emergency or don't have another brow product insight for miles....then I would go with the L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper. Only beacuse it is a little bit more work able and beacause after a few applications you do start to see some definition to your brows. Hope this was helpful, and if you guys have anymore questions feel free to ask..

Good Luck and enjoy life!! Don't forget to check out my youtube channel for more product reviews.
